Heard about Chengs before visiting town, and was not disappointed. Loads of flavour in Mongolian beef, and Dim Sim were delicious. Only picked up, but the interior of the restaurant looked great, and would have loved to have stayed. Thanks!
Cheng’s is a shining light in Hughenden in providing a beautiful meal with great service, patience and love after 30 years of service in this town. Don’t go past this business as you travel through town. The town offers much to the traveller. Give the businesses a go, they won’t disappoint. The town is offering so much to quality of life.
Popped in after 8pm, and received beautiful freshly cooked meals within minutes. Delicious home made dim sims and spring rolls followed by sweet n sour pork , beef and broccoli and banana fritter and ice cream for desert. There is a reason this restaurant is celebrating 30 years of business. Great food reasonable prices and a welcoming smile. Highly recommend for travellers.
The best Chinese I've had in a long time we had king prawns omelette fried rice and sweet and sour pork.

Stopped at Cheng's for lunch on our way through Hughenden. The food was amazing and Lisa (the owner) is so lovely. Craig Cooke's review below says a lot more about him as a person than it does about Cheng's. You're better than that, Craig. Racist comments like yours grew old in the 90s, mate.
Couldn't review atmosphere as it was takeaway only, the food was very nice it suited us.
We were just passing through and craving some Chinese food. Ordered the special fried rice and curry chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Lots of meats, crispy and fresh vegetables and full of flavor. We plan on ordering food a 2nd time before we leave town. Although the restaurant is looking pretty tired hat's off to the elderly couple running this place for 32 years. Not sure what happened with previous negative reviews, perhaps it was a rough patch but it's rather sad seeing this restaurant up for sale. Update: Ordered a 2nd time as previously stated, just as delicious as the 1st order. Yummy.

Yep Chengs Chinese is awesome and what makes them more awesome is Lisa will let you order a lunchtime special even at dinner...shh...just dont tell everyone!... looks like a local incentive...but if youre short on pennies and dont want to cook for 2-3 nights while youre in town...Chengs lunchtime dinnertime specials are the way to go! I just love the lemon chicken with fried rice... Yay
